Company is now DBA Princz Movers

I wrote an exhaustive review already. This company is now DBA Princz movers, so if you are disheartened by Atlantis's reviews, exercise caution when considering Princz Movers. If you look up their license, they are also based out of Florida, they just do business in Colorado. This is a red flag.

North Dakota to Florida.

I was very cautious about the reviews I read online about the company itself as a whole. But the price was very appealing so I was willing to take a chance and did it pay off! The driver Mohammed was extremely professional and very likable personality. Not only did he move buddy actually help me with the kids in the process lol definitely made the move a lot more comforting he kept in contact with me letting me know when he reached Florida. I can assure you it’s because of Mohammed that I will be contacting cross country movers for my next big move.

Hired Day Laborers for My Move

I moved from Oregon to Texas a year ago. I hired Atlantis because they advertise that they are a carrier, not a broker. The gentlemen who packed my home and loaded the truck were great, although the final bill was higher than the estimate they provided. My items arrived in Texas sooner than I expected and everything went downhill from there. The company called me and said the driver was arriving within a couple hours. I asked for a days notice so I could take off work. They said I would incur "extra charges" for that. So I asked my mother to supervise the move until I could get there. When I arrived, my mom was furious. the movers were throwing and kicking my things, haphazardly piling them in the garage. Almost all of my plastic bins were completely crushed. Every piece of furniture was damaged and all of my wood antiques that the movers packed were damaged or destroyed. The movers broke light fixtures in my moms house in their hurry to move my stuff, they scratched her floor, and they almost refused to put the furniture back together that was supposed to be part of my move. They lost my mattress (for a week), and a huge number of my boxes, which were never recovered. The boxes had damage - it looked like things had poked into them, or they were crushed or ripped open. They kept putting other people's boxes in my garage, encouraging me to look in them to see if my missing items were in them (in OTHER people's *taped up* boxes). They didn't want to put other people's stuff back on the truck. The driver of the truck finally told me that he was not an employee of Atlantis and he just "picked up the job" that day. None of his helpers were movers. He hired them off Craigslist that day and paid them in cash at my house. The company claims to have "vetted" the people they have coming in your home, but this is not true. I don't know whether the company lost my things or if the movers stole them. I paid $9700 for this move and I figure I have over $8k of lost and damaged items. The mediation company they use to settle disputes won't work with you unless you agree to never sue them or write negative reviews about them, so I couldn't do mediation to get reimbursed. Before you hire a moving company, check out the Facebook group "Moving Company Scams." Better yet, get a Uhaul and do it yourself. Knowing what I do now (that the law protects the moving companies and it's virtually impossible to get relief when things go wrong), I will never ever hire a moving company again, I'd sooner throw my belongings off a cliff - they'd probably arrive at the bottom in better shape.

Seamless from start to finish!

My driver for the move was Muhammad; he was absolutely amazing! Very kind and courteous, punctual, explained everything well, and kept in touch with me during all aspects of the move. I could not have asked for anyone better to have helped me. He is the BEST! You would be doing yourself an injustice not to request Muhammad. You’ll thank me later! Thank you again Muhammad for your professionalism.

Long-distance move from San Francisco, CA to South Freeport, ME

AMAZING

I recently relocated from San Francisco CA to Maine. I booked my move with Mission Moving Group (Broker) after many quotes I found them not necessarily the cheapest but the most transparent and honest Broker. They assigned Atlantis Van Lines to complete my move. The crew arrived on schedule, Mohammad the Foreman I cannot praise this gentleman enough and his crew. My neighbors were equally impressed with the pure uniformed no nonsense work ethic these guys had.

Delivery took approximately 17 days but considering weather conditions and the pandemic i was okay with that, mainly both parties the broker and Atlantis communicated the whole way through.

Bottom line top notch company here. Bravo Mission Moving Group for caring who they send out and Bravo Atlantis and Mohammad for making my husband and my life so much easier to transition.

Long-distance move from Minot, ND to Las Vegas, NV

Courteous and helpful.

My wife and I arranged for our college age daughter to have her household goods be shipped from Minot ND to Las Vegas NV by Atlantis Van Lines. I was flying to Minot to assist my daughter driving back to Las Vegas, so timing was important. The Driver, Mohamed was great from the beginning, letting my wife and daughter no exactly when he would make it to Minot and pick up my daughter's stuff. My daughter had nothing but good things to say about both drivers and said they were very patient and kind. I myself, spoke to Mohamed on numerous occasions, trying to time their arrival in Las Vegas, due to my daughter having a specific date and time she could sign for her new apartment, which happened to be a Sunday. Mohamed was always very nice when I called him and I never once felt like I was bothering him. I also needed information on contacting his company so I could make the last payment with credit card, so I didn't have to worry about getting cash at the last minute. Mohamed texted me back and forth until I was able to contact the company and make the payment.

Overall the experience went very well due to the professionalism of Mohamed, the other driver, I didn't catch his name, and Ori, the lady that took my payment. If you want to use a company that employ great people to ship your personal stuff, I strongly recommend Atlantis Van Lines.

Mohammed and Stacy.

Moving is stressful and there’s no getting around that. And while I wouldn’t recommend getting an estimate over the phone, I would highly recommend Mohammed along with his main partner Stacy. They were professional and worked without stop getting the job done, with Mohammed updating us along the way. He explained everything and reassured us throughout the move that taking care of us and our things were his number one concern. It showed in his work. They carefully disassembled everything and wrapped with care — even a treadmill. We were amazed by how well they were able to pack the truck. They were also very personable — we had some good conversations along the way! I would highly recommend him for any move. You definitely won’t be disappointed. One note: I never write reviews but felt so strongly about how Mohammed did the job that I really felt I needed to let people know.

Long-distance move from Hereford, AZ to Colorado Springs, CO

So far, so BAD!

This MAY be updated if and when we receive our household goods. Today is April 10th. Our stuff got picked up on March 25 & 26. We called Aaron two days ago, who claims to be in charge of customer relations, and he said that if nobody has contacted us yet to say they have our stuff, then it will be another 5-6 business days or maybe longer. The problem began when they decided to use two separate U-Haul 26 ft trucks to pick up, then move it to another truck for transport! Sine we had two locations for them to pick up from, they brought one U'Haul truck on the 25th, then another one in the 26th. Then both trucks got emptied into a moving van three hours north of us, which supposedly broke down en route (or before), they have never contacted us with any updates, so we are left in the dark, wondering if we will ever see our stuff again. We lived 17 places in 22 years, being military, and this has been the worst moving experience ever. I would say hire anybody else but Atlantis Van Lines!!!

Long-distance move from Portland, OR to Rochester, NY

No professionalism

I moved from Portland Oregon to Rochester New York. What a nightmare. They refused to take my gym equipment and then charged me $400 to disassemble and then reassemble it upon delivery. They lied to me repeatedly about when delivery was going to happen. 3 no-shows and phone calls not answered. Pickup was January 24th. Delivery wasn't until March 1st. Finally they showed up and my things were trashed. Boxes busted open and the contents spilling out, Missing feet for ottoman , didn't know where my television set was, Most upsetting was my gym equipment and they refused to reassemble it and did not reimburse me for that fee of $400 or for the damages to my things. They completely trashed a set of Bowflex 1090 dumbbells that cost me $765. They are not useable anymore. Their arbitration process is a joke. I waited for weeks to be told they would pay me $35. This company is grossly negligent, disrespectful, dishonest and I absolutely regret doing business with them.

Long-distance move from Prineville, OR to Osceola, IN

Unprofessional move from Oregon to Indiana

We started out contacting Allegiance. We found out later that they were a broker company for Atlantis. Atlantis was the company we ended up with. Atlantis charged us $2630 more than the original quote. They never came out to the house to make the estimate, they said due to Covid. But, two other companies came out and wore masks. Every time they called, they increased the price. Even though I had few total number of boxes, decided not to move our dryer, and took off a large entertainment center. They kept requiring more money each time. I packed my own regular belongings. They wrapped the larger items (piano, couch, chairs, etc). Atlantis came in a Penski truck with only two men to load our belongings. We called after two weeks of no belongings after we arrived in Indiana. My husband and I (both seniors) slept on a blow up bed for one month. It took several days to get them to answer. I then received a phone call from a driver. He wanted to know if I was ready to receive my belongings. When I told him we were in Indiana waiting for them, he was surprised. He did not have the right belongings, because he was not expecting to deliver them in Indiana. He said he would call me back. He called five minutes later, but promptly hung up when I answered.

We did not hear from them again until I emailed Allegiance to ask for their help with this company. We complained to the Better Business Bureau and the moving company finally agreed to give us $200 dollars back for our inconvenience. We have yet to receive that. Ourbelongings finally arrived two weeks later(31 days from the time they left Oregon) in a white truck with one driver and no one to unload it. After talking to the dispatch, the driver and truck with our belongings left to return the next day with two individuals to unload it. When we finally got our things a rocking chair was broken and our aluminum ladder was broken. A large mirror that sat on our dresser (they removed and wrapped), all our yard tools (rakes, shovel, brooms),and the music holder they took off my piano are all missing. No where to be found. I have tried calling and leaving messages, but there has been no answer and no return call. The communication has been terrible through this whole ordeal and very untruthful. Do not use this company.

Please please use someone else

Please save yourself the time and aggravation and book someone else. Atlantis was responsive, helpful, and professional in the beginning...until they got my credit card. Problems began as soon as they received my down payment. I had to call multiple times to figure out anything about my move - I'm not sure what would have happened had I not spent so much time to call, wait on hold, etc. Items were left behind, other items are missing and broken, and I am unable to get in touch with anyone to figure out if we'll ever received compensation - at this point, I highly doubt it, and the missing and broken items, including items that were left behind with no hope of getting back, amount to thousands.

As for fees, their quote was WILDLY off - about double - from what they ended up charging us, even though I provided an extremely extensive and accurate inventory list. They also told us different prices for different services with no record of what they had quoted us. For example, they originally told me it would be $800 to lock-in a date certain. Two weeks later, they told me $2,500. They eventually settled on $1,200. They assured us they could handle packing everything, but they left behind multiple pieces of furniture, air conditioning units, and a few entire kitchen cabinets worth of belongings, with no remedy and no way to get those items back. More items were broken in transit, and they refuse to respond to my claim. They also left our bed frame in their storage unit and realized that upon delivery to our new home. The promised it would be delivered that weekend. It's now been over a month, no bed frame, and again, no response.

I booked our move a month in advance, and they said it would likely occur on a Saturday but could be a day before or a day after. I heard nothing leading up to our move and had to call multiple times to check. They finally arrived on Sunday, 7 hours after the time they said they would be there, again without any communication on their part, I had to call multiple times to figure out if and when they were coming. Same thing on our move-in to our new home: they were very late, with very little communication.

I waited over a month to write this review, hoping that Atlantis would resolve our claims and help us with the multiple issues we experienced, but they have been completely non-responsive.

Save yourself some stress. This company doubled the estimate. Ripped us off and broke many items. There is no one to call and they don’t answer the phone if you have a number. They told me our move would be here On a certain date and it never showed up. The movers who showed up did it so fast I couldn’t keep track of what was unloaded. THEN they wouldn’t let me file a claim. We filed a dispute with the CC company and got some of our loss back. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!

AVOID AT ALL COST

I have moved a lot in my life time and this was BY FAR the worst experience ever. I got scammed by a Shady broker who contracts Atlantis. The truck was a day and a half late causing a major disruption in my travel arrangements from Washington to Texas and causing me to spend additional money on hotels. I was told by the "manager/driver" he was taking my belongings to Oregon to be put on a truck the next day to goto Texas and advises me its 300 more cubic ft than estimated. I call a week later and just as expected my things were still in Oregon and I'm told I didn't pay extra for expedited, the truck to Texas was full, and they have 21 business days. Then send me a revised contract for 350 cubic square ft and almost $700 extra for fuel charges. After challenging it they changed it back to the 300 extra cubic ft. Couple more weeks go by and my things are still in Oregon. Finally they day my stuff is on the way. A week later I get a call from the driver who says he will be at my house in an hour. 3 hours pass and he calls and says his truck broke down it'll be the next day. The next day comes and no delivery. On day 3 Atlantis says he was in an accident and that's why it was delayed. Finally day 4 they show up with 2 rental trucks and I learn the people that showed up aren't even from Atlantis but a trucking company called Royal3. Sooo I notice almost every box clearly marked FRAGILE or GLASS is in the truck upside down and obviously just thrown into the truck not handled like they cared it was someone's valuables. These guys literally damaged almost every piece of furniture they transported and broke so many pieces of glassware and items we will never be able to replace. These things weren't broke because the truck bounced around but broken because they negligently threw the boxes around with the most fragile was being crushed and glass all over the place and my wife getting cut multiple times trying to unpack. I almost think I'm going to run out of space on my phone taking photos of all of the damage. I am in disbelief that any company could think this is ok. But apparently Atlantis is good with it. They said just file a claim and we will give you 60 cents a pound for over $10,000 worth of items that got damaged by NEGLIGENCE. they don't care because it's just pennies to them and they know these Shady brokers will continue to send them business. And now we learned they some how lost 12 boxes, 2 totes, a patio table, a bookcase, and a floor jack (probably stolen). Fortunately I am able to afford a good attorney. Please don't become a victim of this company.

Lost half of my items

This is not a legitimate moving company. Please avoid at all costs! I wish I had just sold my stuff at the place of origin rather than have Atlantis Van Lines lose half of it in the move.

I attempted to move a 4-bedroom home with Atlantis Van Lines from Oregon to Connecticut. They were the only ones available at the time. This should have stopped me but I decided to take a chance especially since they all sounded so nice on the phone.

When they came to move us, they complained at the amount of stuff we had in our house the entire time and ultimately left a bunch with my husband when they just decided they were done. We had to ship boxes ourselves.

When they arrived at the destination, they bullied us into using Venmo for the remainder for the amount. They then rushed through unloading our things, didn't assemble anything (even though that was in the contract) and left within around 1.5hours.

When we finally were able to look through everything, we were shocked at the volume of stuff they lost along the way. In total, it added up to about $15,000 of lost items. Some examples of what they lost -

- Top of our kitchen table (they brought legs only)

- Legs of our king bed (they brought the frame & headboard only)

- Swings and hardware for swing set (they brought the wood only)

- Desk legs (they brought the top only)

- Our wedding silver wear

- The tops to our tupperwear containers

- Kids book collection

- Pots & pans

- Chef knives

- and so much more!!

I've contacted them many times to try to get any money back and they deny that they did anything wrong. It's simply infuriating.

Avoid at all costs

From the shady broker who seems to ONLY work with Atlantis, to the driver rescheduling THREE times for pick up, to the crap customer service not returning phone calls, to them charging extra for EVERYTHING, and oh yeah the company not being able to tell us where furniture is when we finally DID get someone on the phone. We were left with "oh it's being put on a truck somewhere in the country." Then on top of all that, they wait until the end of the very last day they could wait until to say they will be able to deliver our furniture. I would suggest moving it yourself before you let these morons move you. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT use them for even moving something from your house to your backyard, it will take over a month to be delivered 100 feet. This is a scam company

Buyer Beware! This company is not legitimate. I hired them to move my belongings across country from WA to MN. It has been 75 days since they picked up my household items and I have not seen or heard directly from anyone other than the customer service girls (Alyssa and Samantha). I've asked to speak with drivers, dispatch, owner, manager, anyone but everyday is a new excuse as so where the truck is, the storage of my items, the repair that is needed for the truck, etc. I've filed a police report and am hoping that this will give me some results as to the theft of my items. I beg of you not to use this company as this has been a 2.5 month nightmare trying to locate my 30 items that were placed on a truck on 5/7/22.

Mentally suffered and become a victim of this fraud moving company

I initially chose this moving company based on the review on this page and that is one of the biggest mistakes. I am totally shocked after stealing the customer's item they are still doing business. I am the latest victim of their awful service. I moved from Miami to New Jersey and on July 13th they picked up my items on July 31st they delivered 1 third of the items and the rest of the items are still undelivered. I kept calling customer service and no one answered one day I heard the majority of the employees from the customer service has quit. I made a police report here in NJ and once the police called their office the employee name Adi picked up the phone right away and shifted the blame to the delivery driver that the driver stole items and now the driver is untraceable. It has been over two months that I haven’t received my items worth $20,000 that really causing mental stress. My humble request to all of you please do not select this moving company at any cost. Who knows they might change their company name and do again the business and make victims of other customers.

Has my stuff been stolen?More importantly, did I pay to get it stolen?

Absolute scam of a service. I'd reached out to Safebound moving services for a move from Portland, OR to Austin, TX and they contracted it to this company. They took our stuff from Portland with a promise to deliver within 21 days of our first available delivery date. It's been more than a month and a half since then and they still haven't delivered it to Austin.

Halfway through the 21 days, I was initially told by customer service that my stuff was en route and I would receive my stuff within the week. Two weeks later, I was told my stuff was just being loaded then and I would receive it within a week. Now, no one responds to any of the calls I try as well as the emails I send. WORST COMPANY EVER. They picked up our stuff 77 days ago! It still has not been delivered! Not once have they ever proactively contacted me, I've had to call and email them OVER AND OVER with NO IDEA where my stuff was or when it would be delivered. On the RARE occasion you can get through to anyone they make empty promises, such as promising to compensate $30/day for each business day past the 21 business days they're supposed to deliver within. They finally called today to say our stuff would be delivered, which would equate to a $900 discount. They offered $250! My husband argued them down to $500. What else can we do but pay it? We NEED our STUFF. BUT, they're STILL not delivering! They're literally an hour away, withholding our stuff because they now demand cash, when we've paid with a card for our other payments to them with no issues. Without a local bank, at 5pm on a Friday before a 3 day weekend, we're screwed. They DO NOT care about their customers, or their belongings, only about taking as much money as they can from you.

We have moved several times cross country in the last few years as well as from overseas. Atlantis Van Lines was by far the worst company with ever worked work! They literally held our personal items hostage in their truck at the storage unit and would not offload them until we paid them more money. They charge us an exorbitant extra charge above what our contract said. We had a huge amount of damage to expensive items as well as a lost computer and several lost boxes. In the end they paid us $84 on our claim. The people were so I am professional and the owner is a complete unprofessional individual who talks the talk but does not follow through. Atlantis Van Lines LLC arrived a day late, did a superb job of protecting furniture so damage was much less than the last time I moved, charged 20% more than the final estimate provided by American Moving Solutions, stored our household possessions for 4 months, and still would guarantee delivery only within a 3-week window of when it was requested despite giving a telephone commitment to deliver within 2 days of the date requested. With less than a day’s notice, they actually delivered in 4 days from our requested date, but left us the anxiety of trying to figure out how we were going to handle a 3-week delay.
